League Report: Sligo Rovers 0 - 2 Bohemians

After a poor performance this Saturday night at the Showgrounds Sligo Rovers find themselves in all sorts of trouble after losing two nil to an average Bohemians side thanks to goals from Ismahil Akinade, after thirty seven minutes, and Anto Murphy on forty four minutes.

Rovers came into the game knowing a win would all but guarantee them safety but they weren't able to break down a good Bohemians defence. Rovers only real effort came after a run into the box by Jennison Myrie - Williams in which his shot was cleared off the line.

This was the wake up call Bohemians needed and it was Ismahil Akinade who found the back of the net after connecting with a Keith Buckley cross.

Rovers had a chance to equalise on forty minutes after Sander Puri and Morten Neilsen combined but Neilsen’s weak shot didn't trouble Delany in the Bohemians goal.

Rovers were made to pay just before half time when Anto Murphy superbly headed a Jake Kelly cross into the back of Richard Brush’s net.

Rovers started the second half on top and had their first chance of the second half when a ball into the box cannoned off Dinny Corcoran and went over the bar.

Bohemians looked comfortable in the second half and didn't allow Rovers to bother them too much.

As the game wound down Gavin Peers and Alan Keane did their best to push their team onwards and give the Bohs defence something to think about but in the end nothing came from any of their chances.
