Derry snap up former Hibs striker

Derry City have completed the signing of former Hibernian striker Thomas McManus.
Known as Tam McManus, the 28-year-old joins the Candystripes as a free agent following his release by MLS side Colorado Rapids. McManus played under Derry boss Stephen Kenny while at Dunfermline Athletic. The Scotsman also counts Dundee and Falkirk among his former clubs.
McManus has signed until the end of the current season, but is ineligible to play in Friday night's game against Shamrock Rovers in Dublin as his clearance has not been received. However, he is likely to feature in a friendly game with Coleraine on Tuesday night at the Coleraine Showgrounds (Kick-off 7.45).
