Ndo and Dykes to continue in charge of Sligo

Sligo Rovers today put an end to the speculation at the Showgrounds surrounding the managerial situation after Owen Heary was sacked a number of weeks ago by announcing that fan favourite Joseph Ndo and Gavin Dykes would take control of the team until the end of the season.

The club released the following statement this afternoon:

"After careful evaluation and consideration of the managerial options available, Sligo Rovers wish to confirm that Joseph Ndo and Gavin Dykes have been appointed to take charge of first team coaching and management."

Now that the managerial situation is sorted Rovers fans will be hoping that performances can improve on the pitch and the club can move forward with signing players that will help the Bit o'Red avoid relegation to the First Division.

Ndo and Dykes have taken control of the last two games against Dundalk and Galway with one loss and one draw under their belts. While performances have improved on the pitch fans are still awaiting the duo's first three points at the helm.

Rovers play Longford this Saturday night at the Showgrounds in what is being billed as a must win game for the Bit O'Red and both Ndo and Dykes will be hoping for three points.
