Shanahan completes Athlone switch

Athlone Town have completed the signing of goalkeeper Aaron Shanahan from Dundalk.

The former Bangor Celtic, St Patrick's Athletic and Kilkenny City stopper will compete with John McGuinness for the number one spot at Lissywoolen.

Athlone said that Shanahan will be available for selection for the club's home match against Kildare County on Saturday night.
