Kildare snap up Lynch & Thorpe

Kildare County have moved to strengthen their squad with the signings of Alan Lynch and Alan Thorpe.
An Ireland under-19 cap, Forward Lynch spent last season at Longford Town, scoring four goals in 20 appearances. Kildare manager Cooper Donnelly has also brought in Thorpe from Liffey Celtic. The left-sided player can operate in both defence and midfield.
The duo could make their debuts for the Thoroughbreds on Saturday night when they travel to Lissywoolen to face Athlone Town. Kildare grabbed a deserved one all draw against Finn Harps on the opening weekend of the season.
