Waterford Utd confirm 3 as new sponsor

Waterford United have confirmed mobile phone company 3 as the club’s new sponsor.

The deal will see the company’s logo emblazoned on the team’s jerseys for the coming season, as well as on all club stationary, website and signage at the Regional Sports Centre.

Chief executive of 3, Robert Finnegan, a native of Dunmore East, welcomed the partnership. He said: “3 has a strong track record in supporting Irish sport and we hope this association will kick off another successful chapter in the history of this club. We look forward to supporting Waterford United in the season ahead.”

According to Chris Everett, chairman of Waterford United: “This is a huge boost for the club. 3 is a very successful and high profile company and we look forward to working closely with them to ensure a successful partnership. It is also a major vote of confidence in League of Ireland football and in the ongoing work of everybody at Waterford United who have worked so hard to keep league football alive in this area.”
