Shelbourne coasted to another friendly victory on Wednesday night. The Dublin side ran out comfortable 5-1 winners against fellow First Division side Kildare County at Station Road.

Goals from Peter Hynes, David Cassidy, and Paddy Madden had Dermot Keely's men on easy street, before Richie Baker added a fourth from the penalty spot. Kildare pulled a goal back with ten minutes remaining, but Robbie Hedderman sealed a fine win for Shels by grabbing a fifth late on.

In other news, Shamrock Rovers manager Michael O’Neill continues to add to his squad ahead of the new season. The club have completed the signing of former St Johnstone and Accrington Stanley defender Sean Webb. The 26-year-old has been capped at senior international level for Northern Ireland.
