A second half strike from Vinny Faherty saw Galway United overcome Salthill Devon by a single goal at Drom on Monday night. Elsewhere, two goals from Andy Haran gave St Patrick's Athletic a 2-0 victory over Monaghan United, while a late strike from UCD gave them a 1-1 draw with Bray Wanderers at the Belfield Bowl.
