Bosnia and Herzegovina finalise World Cup squad

Bosnia head into their first FIFA World Cup with Safet Susic at the helm and record caps holder Zvjezdan Misimovic firmly in the midfield picture as a very passionate country gets set to showpiece its footballing ability on an international stage as it attempts to stamp a new image to erase the one that burdens the country from the Yugoslav war.

The key men across the spine of the side for Bosnia will be: Asmir Begovic of Stoke in goals, Emir Spahic, the captain of the side who plies his trade in the centre of of the Bayer Leverkusen defence.

In midfield, one of Europe’s form midfielders this season Miralem Pjanic (He is a must have in your World Cup fantasy team) and up top will be Edin Dzeko who was so instrumental this season for Premier League champions Manchester City.

The squad also challenges Holland for the wealth of young talent among their ranks. Just three of the squad are over 30. They are captain Spahic, Misimovic and back up goalkeeper Asmir Avdukic.

The joker in the pack for the Zmajevi is Sajeed Salihovic of Hoffenheim. The best set piece taker in European football, a phenomenal free kick taker and flawless from the penalty spot. Don’t believe me, watch below.
