LOI U20 semi finals this weekend

The League of Ireland U20 semi finals take place this weekend.

On Saturday Oriel Park plays host to Dundalk vs Cork City.

The Lilywhites defeated a strong Bray Wanderers side in the quarter finals that included four players with League of Ireland experience.

Tiernan Mulvenna grabbed the games only goal, and goalkeeper Ryan Coulter pulled off a number of fine saves to keep his side in the game. The Man of the Match however had to be centre back Joss Reilly. Reilly read the game excellently from start to finish and came to the rescue of his team mates on numerous occasions with well-timed tackles.

Cork City earned their place in the final four with a dramatic 5-3 win over UCD.

The Leesiders came from three goals down and forced the game into extra-time, with striker Paul Deasy hitting a hat-trick. Goals from Eddie Carroll and Eoin Kilcommons in extra-time secured the win.

On Sunday, Bohemians will travel to Fahy's Field to face Mervue Utd.

Bohemians defeated Salthill Devon last Sunday in Cabra. Mark Hughes scored the games only goal.

Mervue Utd edged out FC Carlow in their quarter final by three goals to two.
