Airtricity Premier Division Betting - Gameweek 13

Having been brought up a Bohs fan, I was always led to believe that Shamrock Rovers were evil. As I got older, I simply realised that this was just footballing rivalry, and I was being properly indoctrinated in the Bohs ways.

However, two weeks in a row of Shamrock Rovers ruining my Tricky Trebles - and I'm back to the belief that they are in fact evil, and exist for the sole purpose of causing me hassle.

We're over a third into the season now, and patterns are emerging - I've had a 50% success rate or better in the last four weeks, let's see if we can keep that up here. Only four Premier Division games this week plus the Setanta Cup Final - ah sure we may as well bet on that too.

Bohemians V Cork City

Following Bohs is dangerous for your health. The first person ever diagnosed as Bi-polar must have been a Bohs fan. After two excellent away draws at Pats and Drogs, they slumped to a flaccid 1-0 defeat to UCD on Tuesday. The highlight of the night was one of the simplest heckles I've ever heard. UCD's Graham Rusk was near the sideline, and one fan shouted "Australia" at him. Cork and Bohs have almost identical records after the first 12 games, so I'm going for an identical scoreline here.

Betting: Draw at 21/10

Bray Wanderers V Sligo Rovers

Sligo are a stinge-tastic 3/10 to win this game, which is to be avoided. Our tattooed beast-friend Elding is back from suspension, and should fire the league leaders to a win by more than two here. Bray have smaller fish to fry, and won't be killing themselves here. Their season is all about games like next week's clash with Cork.

Betting: Sligo Rovers - 2 at 5/2

Derry City V UCD
Derry's brief reign at the top of the league was ended by a nice little tonking by Sligo on Monday. Expect them to wreak a terrible revenge on UCD, whom they beat 6-0 in the reverse fixture. There's little value in the win/handicap markets here, but I like the look of a neat little 'win to nil' here.

Betting: Derry City to win to nil at 11/10

Dundalk V Shelbourne

I'm always looking for special cheeky bets that I think have a chance. I think I've found one here looking at the stats. Shels have scored a single, measly goal in 6 away games - ergo, they won't score. Dundalk have scored a not-great 8 goals in 6 home games - ergo, they won't score more than 2. So the score will be 1-0 or 2-0 to Dundalk, right?? Luckily for us, our friends at Paddy Power have just the market for this eventuality!

Betting: Dundalk to win and 1 or 2 total goals in the match at 23/10

Shamrock Rovers V Drogheda United

Nobody ever said the phrase "the magic of the Setanta Cup", so forgive us for not going GaGa about the first piece of silverware of the season. As mentioned above, Rovers have cost me (and you, if you like the cut of my betting jib), countless yoyos in the last two weeks. Which means, 3rd time lucky, they have to win this game. Home advantage and all has to help. I promise, Trevor, I won't ask for anything off you ever again.

Betting: Shamrock Rovers (90 mins) at 3/4

KF's Tricky Treble: Derry, Sligo -2, and Dundalk pays out at a generous 13/2
