Algis’s Biography

The 23-year old (born 27/09/1982) defender has been “leased” for a year from the Perm “Amkar”. A.Jankauskas had been participating in the Russian championship for one year and a half.
Today, after having signed the contract with the Vilnius “Vetra” Algis Jankauskas said: “I am glad that I have signed the contract with the Vilnius “Vetra”, which seeks for the highest goals in the Lithuanian championship. I hope that the team will successfully show itself in the European tournaments. I think that, while playing in Lithuania, I shall also deserve attention of the coaches of the Lithuanian national team.
According to the Agreement on “lease” of Algis Jankauskas, which was signed between the Vilnius “Vetra” and the Perm “Amkar”, the FC “Vetra” has the right of priority to buy out the Lithuanian’s contract with the Russian club, which is still valid for two years.
