Davin’s Biography

Davin started his League of Ireland career at Cobh Ramblers in 2005 and he made over 100 league appearances in four seasons at the club. He was part of the Ramblers side that won the First Division title in 2007 and also suffered the pain of relegation the following season.

On 4 December 2008 Davin made the switch to near neighbours Cork City and made 22 league appearances in 2009 as the Rebels finished third in the Premier Division. In February 2010 the club folded and like many of his team mates Davin signed for the supporter led Cork City Foras Co-op who entered the First Division that year.

Having legally acquired the club history they flew under the Cork City FC flag in 2011 and Davin contributed 12 league goals in 25 league appearances as the club won the 2011 First Division title. In City's first season back in the top tier Davin played a key role, making 28 league appearances and scoring six times. In January 2013 Davin announced that he would not be returning to City for the new season, citing work pressure as part of his reasoning. Later that month, on 30 January 2013, following news that Cobh Ramblers would be rejoining the league after a four year absence, Davin signed for manager Dave Hill.

Davin's second spell in a Cobh shirt began with a 5-0 win over Wexford Youths on the opening weekend of the 2013 season and he went on to score nine times in 21 league appearances as the Rams finished second bottom of the First Division. Davin dropped out of League of Ireland football at the end of that season and in 2014/15 he lined out with MSL side Cobh Wanderers.
