Jamie began his career at Shamrock Rovers in 2006. He made 43 appearances for the Hoops before moving to Longford Town in the summer transfer window of 2007.

At the end of '07 he signed for Dundalk and made 38 appearances, scoring eight goals, over the 2008 season. Despite helping the club to the First Division title Jamie was released after just one year at Dundalk and he was snapped up by Alan Mathews at Drogheda United in February 2009.

Jamie played 47 league games in his two seasons at Drogheda, scoring five league goals, and he left the club on 27 July 2010. In April 2011 Jamie had a brief spell at Newry City, making 4 Irish League appearances.

In February 2012 Jamie signed for Tony Cousins at Longford Town. He made 17 league appearances that year and scored once, the winner in a 1-0 win over SD Galway in May. He was not part of Longford's squad for 2013.
