Gary’s Biography
Gary is a midfielder who played underage football at Ferrybank before joining Scottish giants Glasgow Celtic in July of 2004. He returned to Ireland the following summer and had a brief spell at Waterford United where he made 2 league appearances in the 2005 season.
He was released at the end of the '05 season and returned to Junior side Ferrybank but was re-signed by Waterford in 2007 to play with the club's U20 side. Gary made just 1 league appearance for the Blues in '07 as the club were relegated from the Premier Division, but became a regular in 2008, making 22 league appearances and scoring four times.
Gary remained a regular in the Blues midfield as Waterford pushed hard for promotion in both 2009 and 2010, and he made a further 24 league appearances as the Blues promotion challenge fell away in 2011. The following season, 2012, was disrupted by injury and Gary made just 7 league appearances before being released at the end of the year.
