Neale’s Biography

Neale was born in London but has represented the Republic of Ireland at U21 and B level. He began his career with Tottenham Hotspur in 1995 and made ten appearances for the London club. He had loan spells at Leyton Orient, Norwich City, Swindon Town and Lincoln City before moving to Peterborough United in 2001 where he made 50 league appearances.

In August 2003 Neale signed for Waterford United, playing in the transitional '03 summer season. But by the start of 2004 he had moved along the coast to Cork City. He spent three years at Turners Cross and was part of their league title winning side in 2005. In 2007 Neale signed for Sean Connor at Bohemians and, after a quiet first year, won a league and cup double in 2008, adding another league title in 2009.

In 2010 Neale signed for Ian Foster at Dundalk and made 22 league appearances at Oriel Park. However, in July, he controversially retired before re-emerging several days later at Shamrock Rovers. He went on to make nine league appearances for the Hoops, who went on to lift the 2010 league title. Neale did not re-sign for the Hoops in 2011 and has since turned out for Leinster Senior League side Swords Celtic.
