David’s Biography

David signed for Waterford United in 2006 after stealing the show in the 2006 Munster Youths Cup Final with local side Tramore. He played with the Blues U21 side and in July '06 he went on loan at Kilkenny City where he made 6 appearances.

He first lined out for Waterford's first team at the end of 2007 and in 2008 he was used mainly as a substitute, coming off the bench on no less than 16 occasions before getting his first start in a 2-1 win over Sporting Fingal. David scored both goals in that game and bagged six that season in 29 appearances.

In 2009 David made 26 appearances, scoring three times, though his season was disrupted after a double fracture of his wrist in an FAI Cup tie against Crumlin United in August. The following year David drifted down the pecking order, making just 3 league starts, and he was released by the club in late August.

Having left the RSC David rejoined local side Tramore, but in February 2011 he signed for Wexford Youths and made his debut for the club on the opening night of the season in a 1-0 defeat away to Cork City. He made 20 league appearances over the season and scored once, in a 5-3 defeat to Mervue United.

David left Wexford Youths at the end of the 2011 season and joined Evergreen FC in his native Kilkenny.
