Raymond ’s Biography

Raymond played underage football with Castlefin Celtic, later joining St Kevin's Boys. He joined Finn Harps in 2010 and made his debut for Harps on 1 October of that year, in a 2-2 draw away to Athlone Town. Ray made 2 league appearances that season, scoring his first senior goal against Mervue United on 30 October.

Ray made a further 3 league appearances for Harps in 2011 but left the club in the summer to sign for Derry City where he played with their A Championship side over the latter half of the 2011 season. Ray continued to play for Derry's reserve and U19 sides in 2012 but did not figure in new manager Declan Devine's league side. In May of 2013 Ray appeared as an unused sub in Derry's EA Cup game against Finn Harps and he began to regularly make the bench for league games as the season progressed. He made 3 league appearances in 2013 and also represented Ireland at the World Student Games in Russia that summer.

In June 2014 Raymond signed a season-ling loan deal at Ballinamallard United in the Irish League where he played until January 2015. He ended his loan spell and his contract at Derry City to sign for Ollie Horgan at Finn Harps ahead of their 2015 First Division campaign.

Ray was a key part of the Finn Harps squad as he made twenty-four league appearances, scoring three goals in the process, before playing in all four play-off matches as Finn Harps were promoted to the Premier Division after overcoming UCD and Limerick.

Ray stayed with Harps for their Premier Division campaign but left the club in August 2016 after twelve league appearances, most of which came off the bench. He went on to join Institute FC for their 2016/17 Irish League season.
