Adam is a central defender who joined Bray Wanderers in July 2010 from Dublin side Bangor Celtic. He made 12 league appearances over the remainder of the 2010 season, quickly establishing himself in the centre of the Seagull's defence.

In 2011 Adam made 28 league starts and in January 2012 he signed up for a third season with the Co Wicklow club. He made 24 league appearances over 2012 and 2013 during which time his contribution was affected by injury but in 2014 he netted his first league goal for the Seagulls in a 1-1 draw with Derry City at the Carlisle Grounds, also adding 23 more league appearances to his career tally.
