James’s Biography

James Kavanagh signed for Bray Wanderers from Belvedere FC in January 2010 and made 19 league appearances that season. In February 2011 he signed for UCD, playing mainly for the club's A Championship side. James made 3 substitute appearances in the league and also appeared twice in the club's EA Sports Cup campaign. He went on to re-sign for UCD for the 2012 season.

James went on to play seventeen times for UCD in the 2012 Premier Division and added a further twenty-three appearances in the 2013 season. He also scored his first UCD goal in the 2013 season, in a 2-2 draw with Drogheda United. He re-signed for UCD for the 2014 season.

James went on to make twenty-eight appearances for UCD in the 2014 Premier Division, as UCD were relegated after losing to Galway FC in the relegation play-offs. In December 2014, James moved to Drogheda United under Johnny McDonnell. However, he emigrated to Australia before the 2015 season started.

James returned to Ireland for the 2016 season and played on trial with Bohemians during their pre-season before signing for the Dublin club in March 2016.

James then left Bohs in August 2016.
