Tom ’s Biography
Tom joined Athlone Town in June 2009 and made his league debut in a 2-1 away defeat against Waterford United on 19th June 2009. He scored once in 14 league appearances that year before moving to UCD in the summer of 2010.
Tom signed for UCD on a scholarship deal in the summer of 2010 but was unable to turn out for the students until the results of his leaving certificate were issued. He stayed with UCD's u19 squad for the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons before being promoted to the senior squad for the 2013 season. He made 5 league appearances in his first season and improved on that during the 2014 season, making a further 11 league appearances as UCD were relegated at the end of the season.
Tom didn't sign for UCD at the start of the 2015 season but returned to the club in July 2015. While he appeared on the bench several times, he didn't make an appearance for the club before the end of the season and returned to the UCD LSL side.
In July 2016, Tom returned to Athlone Town when he signed for the First Division club but he didn't make a league appearance as the club finished bottom of the First Division.
