Guy’s Biography

A native of Newcastle, Guy played with Newcastle United from the age of eight, eventually working his way into the reserves. But with first team opportunities hard to come by he travelled to Australia in 2005 to play for Newcastle Jets before returning to England in 2006 to sign for Darlington where he made 9 league appearances, scoring once.

After a short spell in Belgium with KV Oostende, Guy signed for Drogheda United in July 2007 and scored the winning goal against Cork City which won Drogheda their first ever League title. In 2008 Guy made 15 league appearances for the Drogs, scoring once, in a 3-1 win over Finn Harps.

At the end of the 2008 season Guy returned to Belgium for a spell with Louvieroise but re-signed for Drogheda United in July 2009, when he lined out for a 2-1 home defeat to Bray Wanderers. He went on to make a further 13 league appearances for the club by the end of the season.

In February 2010 Guy returned to England to sign for non-league club Blyth Spartans, and in July 2012 he signed for Irish League club Glenavon.
