Wesley’s Biography

Wesley started his League of Ireland career at Sligo Rovers in 1998 where he made 61 league appearances in his three seasons at the club. At the start of the 2000/01 season he moved to Bray Wanderers where he spent a further five years, clocking up over 100 league appearances for the Seagulls.

He left Bray to play with Russian team Rostov in July 2005 and was on the bench a number of times there, against sides such as Dinamo Moscow, CSKA Moscow and FC Tom. But Wes opted to return to Bray in December 20005, having sustained a number of injuries during his stay by the Black Sea.

In the opening half of the 2006 season made 10 league appearances for Bray before joining Galway United on a free transfer on 25 July. He went on to make 59 league appearances for The Tribesmen in his two years at the club and in July of 2008 he moved to Canada to play for Vancouver Whitecaps.

Wes played 33 times for Vancouver before signing for Montreal Impact in July 2010 where he played out the remainder of the 2010 season.

He returned to Ireland in February 2011 and spent pre-season with Salthill Devon. He made two appearances for the club, against Fanad United in the EA Sports Cup and against Athlone Town in the league, before suffering a groin injury which ended his brief stay at Drom.

Wesley is a full International for St Vincent & the Grenadines and played in 10 of their 12 world cup qualifiers in 2000, scoring twice.
