Aaron’s Biography
The Canterbury native played underage for Whitstable Town in Kent before making the move to senior football with Maidstone United.
At 17, Simpson was part of the Maidstone side that reached the second round of the FA Cup in 2014 before being eliminated by Wrexham, a game in which he was sent off.
His performances for Maidstone earned him a contract with the Wolverhampton Wanderers academy in February of 2015.
Simpson had loan spells with Portsmouth, Telford United, Kilmarnock and Spanish side Jumilla before being released in 2019 to join Waterford in the League of Ireland.
He made nine appearances, including eight starts, for the Blues during his three-month spell before departing the club in June.
Simpson returned to England and signed with Dover Athletic for the 2019/20 season, before moving on to Sutton United in June 2020.
He made 12 appearances during his spell with Sutton as they lifted the National League title and achieved promotion to the Football League for the first time in their history.
On August 9th, 2021, Simpson was unveiled as the new contestant on ITV reality show Love Island.
