Patrick’s Biography
Patrick played with Derry City's U19 squad before appearing on the bench for Derry City's game against Galway United on 6th of February 2015. He went on to make his debut in September 2015, coming off the bench against Shamrock Rovers. He also played in the last game of the season, which was a 4-2 loss to Longford Town. In 2016 Patrick added 12 league appearances and scored his first league goal, in a 1-1 draw away to Longford Town.
Patrick initially re-signed for Derry's 2017 Premier League campaign but in January 2017 he signed for Pat Fenlon at First Division Waterford FC. In November 2017 it was announced that Patrick had signed back with Waterford for 2018 after their promotion to the Premier Division.
In February 2018, Patrick signed for Sligo Rovers. After a year in Sligo, McClean returned to Derry at the beginning of the 2019 season.
