Sam’s Biography

Sam was part of Arsenal's youth set up before moving on to Birmingham City in 2004. He spent four years with the Blues without making a senior appearance although he did enjoy loan spells at Doncaster Rovers, Bristol Rovers and Leyton Orient who he signed a permanent deal with in January 2008. Sam made 11 league appearances for Orient but left at the end of the 2007/08 season and joined Hereford United at the start of 2008/09. He subsequently had spells at Ljungskile SK in Sweden and with Conference side Tamworth before signing for Limerick FC in August 2013.

Sam made his Limerick debut away to Sligo Rovers on 31 August 2013 and made 6 league appearances over the latter months of the season. He re-signed with Limerick for the 2014 season and was a key part of the Limerick defence, playing twenty-eight league games for the club as they finished sixth in the league table.

In February 2015 Sam signed for Tommy Dunne at newly promoted Galway United FC. He went on to make twenty-three league appearances for the club, scoring and getting sent off twice in the process, as Galway finished tenth in the Premier Division. He also played in the EA Sports Cup Final, which Galway lost on penalties to St Pats. He left the club at the end of the season.
