Jake’s Biography

Jake played for St Patrick's Athletic U19's in the 2012/13 season before switching to Bohemians. Jake played for Bohs' U19 squad for the 2013/2014 season and was named in the Bohs first team by Owen Heary in January 2014. He went on to make 5 appearances in the league towards the end of the season and also scored twice in an EA Sports Cup tie against St Pats, which helped Bohs win 3-2 and reach the quarter-finals.

Jake was frequently on the Bohemians bench for the 2015 season and made 2 league appearances for the Phibsboro side, in the 3-1 win over Shamrock Rovers and the 4-0 loss to Cork City. In August 2015, Jake left Bohs and joined Malahide United. However, he was soon back in the League of Ireland as he signed for Pete Mahon at Drogheda United in December 2015 and he made 24 league appearances, scoring once, as the Drogs won promotion via the 2016 play-offs. Jake re-signed with the Drogs for the 2017 season. In 2017, Jake made 26 appearances, scoring once in the League. Jake then re-signed for the 2018 season.

Jake re-signed for the 2019 season despite his 2018 campaign being cut short due to a broken leg in the play-offs. In December 2019, Jake re-signed with the Drogs for the 2020 season. In November 2020, Jake signed a new deal for 2021 having already made 131 appearances, scoring 9 goals for the club. In December 2021, Jake left Drogheda to step back from senior football to focus on work and family commitments. In total Jake made 152 appearances for Drogheda across 6 seasons.
