Mikael is a Swedish centre-back who plays for Bologna in Italy's Serie A.
He began his career at Swedish side AIK Silhovda in 1995, moving to IFK Gothenburg two years later. He spent seven years there before signing for Austria Wien in 2004. Spells at Panathinaikos and FC Copenhagen followed before Mikael joined Bologna in 2011.
