Gary’s Biography

Gary played all his football with Limerick side Newcastlewest until he became Sean McCaffrey's first signing as the new boss of Dundalk in January 2012. He made 20 league appearances for the Lilywhites that year and scored five league goals.

In February 2013 Gary played on trial with Limerick FC before signing for Mervue United where he made his club debut in a 2-2 draw away to Finn Harps on 29 March 2013. He went on to top Mervue's goal-scoring charts that year, netting ten times in 23 league appearances as the Galway club finished third in the First Division. In December 2013 Gary signed for the new Galway club, Galway FC, who replaced both Mervue and Salthill Devon in the 2014 First Division.

Gary was a big part of Galway's first season, playing 22 times in the First Division and scoring five goals in the process. He also played in all four promotion play-off matches that earned Galway promotion to the Premier Division for the 2015 season. He added a further four goals in 33 league games thin 2015 as Galway finished tenth in the Premier Division and also played in the EA Sports Cup Final, which Galway lost on penalties to St Patrick's Ath.

In 2016 Gary was ever-present for The Tribesmen, scoring four times in 33 league appearances, helping Galway to a ninth place finish in the Premier Division. In December 2017, Gary re-signed for his fifth season with Galway.
