Niall’s Biography

Niall played underage football with Leixlip United and before starting his League of Ireland career on a scholarship at UCD in the 2001/02 season. He spent three seasons at Belfield, first appearing with the first team in the transitional 2003 season when he made 14 league appearances.

In 2004 he signed for Drogheda United but went straight out on loan to Athlone Town to experience first team football. He scored 2 goals that year in 16 league appearances for the midlands club. In 2005 Niall joined Bray Wanderers, spending just one season at the Co Wicklow club without making any league appearances.

At the end of 2006 Niall was released by Bray and he subsequently spent time with Leinster Senior League side Bluebell United before signing for Pat Scully at Limerick FC in July 2009. He made his debut for Limerick in a 2-0 win over Wexford Youths on 10 July and made 4 league appearances before leaving in mid August for personal reasons.

Having left Limerick Niall rejoined Bluebell United and played with the side that reached the third round of the 2010 FAI Cup. The Dublin side lost to Cork City Foras Co-op after a replay.
