Ian’s Biography

Ian was named in Mike Kerley's first team squad at Athlone Town in 2011 and scored the winning goal on his debut against UCD in the Leinster Senior Cup. One month later Ian made his league debut in a 2-0 defeat away to Longford Town on 2 April. He made a total of 10 league appearances that year and also played for the club's U19 side in their 2011/12 season.

Ian re-signed for Athlone Town for the 2012 season and went on to make ten league appearances as Athlone finished sixth. Ian signed up for Athlone Town for the 2013 season, his third at the club. Ian played a bigger part in the 2013 season, playing 23 league games and scoring six goals, as Athlone Town won the First Division title. Ian re-signed for the 2014 season in the Premier Division.

Ian made thirty league appearances for Athlone, mainly from the bench, and scored three goals from midfield during the 2014 season, as the club were relegated from the Premier Division. In the pre-season of 2015 Ian lined out with newly promoted Galway United FC but he didn't sign a contract and only returned to league action when he re-signed for Athlone on 27 April 2015.

On his return to Athlone, Ian made three substitute appearances, scoring once in a 3-2 loss to Shelbourne, before leaving the club in June 2015.
