Kevin is a defender who played with Bohemians U20 and A Championship sides in 2010 and made his senior debut at home to Portadown in the Setanta Cup in March 2011. He was an unused substitute for the opening eight league games of the 2011 season, finally making his league debut as an 88th minute sub against Derry City at Dalymount Park on 29th April and going on to make 5 league appearances over the season.

In 2012 Kevin came into his own under new manager Aaron Callaghan. He became a feature at the heart of the Bohs defence and made 23 league appearances, also scoring his first league goal, in a 3-2 defeat to St Pats at Dalymount Park in September. Before the season had ended Kevin had attracted the attention of Everton and Charlton Athletic and in November 2012 Kevin signed for Charlton.
