Stuart is a goalkeeper who joined Linfield in May 2008, though in January 2011 he went on loan to Lisburn Distillery until the end of the season. Stuart was back at Linfield hoe 2011/12 but was released at the end of that season after six years at the Belfast club.
In June 2012 Stuart signed for a third spell at Ballymena United.
