Gerry played with the Bluebell United side that reached the third round of the 2009 FAI Cup, losing 2-1 to Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle Grounds.
Gerry was also a member of the 2010 Crumlin United squad that reached the third round of the FAI Cup before losing 3-0 to Fisrt Division Finn Harps.
Gerry played for Bluebell United before signing for Templeogue United in the summer of 2014. He then moved to Home Farm during the 2015/16 season.
