Thomas’s Biography

Thomas was a fringe member of St Patrick's Athletic's 2010 squad, who made his debut in a league game against Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle Grounds on 13 August 2010, coming off the bench in the 76th minute to replace Pat's striker Vinny Faherty.

In July 2011 Thomas signed for Tony Cousins at Longford Town and made his first appearance for the club on 16 July in a 1-0 away win over Salthill Devon. He went on to make 11 league appearances over the remainder of the season and he scored two goals, the first coming against Monaghan United on 23 September. In 2012 Thomas earned widespread recognition for his part in Longford's progression to the promotion play-offs and in January 2013 he signed for Premier Division side Derry City.

Thomas made his debut for the Candystripes in a Setanta Cup game against Drogheda United on 4 March 2013 and was a regular at left-back until injury struck in April, which effectively ended his season after just 10 league appearances.
