55'

Corner Kick

Shamrock Rovers have won a corner kick. Jack Byrne will take it and it comes to Ronan Finn but it is blocked and...

49'

Ronan Finn has slotted in at right back after Ethan Boyle came off at half time for Gary O'Neill. Boyle made a number of errors in the first half so I think the switch was tactical.

48'

Corner Kick

Shamrock Rovers have won a corner kick. Jack Byrne will take it and it drops into a scrum of players but Rovers effort comes off a green and white shirt and it is now a goal kick.

47'

Corner Kick

Sean Kavanagh's cross is put behind by Luke McNally. Shamrock Rovers have won a corner kick. Jack Byrne will take it. It comes deep to Graham Burke off Luca Gratzer who should have done better with the centre but he does well to save Burke's effort and we have another corner.

46'

45' + 1'

Half Time

It is half-time between Shamrock Rovers and Drogheda United.

45'

We'll have one more minute at least in this half.

43'

Corner Kick

Shamrock Rovers have won yet another corner kick. Jack Byrne will take it this one too.

42'

Corner Kick

Shamrock Rovers have won a corner kick after awful error by Conor Kane allowed Ronan Finn to pick pocket him and Aaron McEneff's effort goes behind. Jack Byrne will take it. Lee Grace gets a shot of the dropping ball but Sean Brennan blocks it and we have another corner.

40'

Brilliant run by Mark Doyle who takes the ball up the Drogs right and twists and turns the Rovers defence. His cut back from the bye-line is intercepted by Pico Lopes who clears.

37'

Jake Hyland finds some rare space in front of the Rovers box and takes a pot shot but it well clears Alan Mannus crossbar.

33'

This time Graham Burke's effort was well wide as he picked up Ronan Finn's pass in the middle but Burke's shot carves left away from goal.

31'

#managerwatch Stephen Bradley in black tracksuit bottoms, training top and dark trainers with white souls. Tim Clancy in Drogheda T-shirt over navy trackie bottoms and bright white trainers.

30'

Corner Kick

Luke McNally heads Ethan Boyle's long ball behind. Shamrock Rovers have won a corner kick. Jack Byrne whips it in and Lee Grace gets up but puts it over.

24'

Graham Burke plays a great one-two with Sean Kavanagh and Burke's effort fizzes just by the frame of the Drogheda goal. Lots of possession for Rovers and those chances are coming more frequent now.

18'

Graham Burke from 25 yards hits the junction of the post and crossbar as Luca Gratzer could just watch on. What an effort from the loanee.

14'

Corner Kick

Sean Kavanagh's cross is put behind and Shamrock Rovers have won a corner kick. Jack Byrne whips it in and finds Ronan Finn's head but he puts it well over.

14'

Greg Bolger hits the ball against the referee but the new rules don't come into affect in the LOI till next season so rather than a hop ball we play away off Paul McLaughlin.

13'

Jack Byrne brings Sean Kavanagh into the game on the left and his cut back comes to Graham Burke who hits it first time just by the United goal.

10'

Corner Kick

Aaron Greene pushes ball to left and makes it beyond the Drogheda defence and his shot forces Luca Gratzer (who was previously on the books here in Tallaght) get low to push around his left hand post. Jack Byrne will take it but United clear.

9'

Corner Kick

Super play by Jack Byrne taking a Aaron McEneff header. He shuffles into space and feeds ball to Sean Kavanagh whose cross goes behind and Shamrock Rovers have won a corner kick. Aaron McEneff will take it short to Byrne but the Drogs clear.

7'

Big shout for a peno but referee Paul McLaughlin is having none of it was Chris Lyons went down in the  box under pressure from Pico Lopes and Ethan Boyle. It came from an awful error from Boyle who allowed Conor Kane rob the ball from him on the edge of the box.

6'

Greg Bolger and Aaron McEneff are the holding midfielders for Rovers.

4'

Sean Brennan hits one from 30 yards but Alan Mannus gets his body behind the ball and saves with ease. That came after some early Rovers pressure but a poor Ronan Finn cross saw Drogs breaking from deep.

Three changes for Rovers from their 5-1 win in Waterford during the week. Stephen Bradley brings in Graham Burke, Aaron McEneff and Greg Bolger. Tim Clancy names an unchanged Drogheda side.

Drogheda have won the cup just once and they had current Shamrock Rovers Head Coach Stephen Bradley and the Hoops Academy Director Shane Robinson in their line up back in 2005 when they beat Cork City. 1987 is the last time the Hoops lifted the trophy.

Good evening from Tallaght Stadium where we are up for the cup. Macdara Ferris here to take you through this evening's action as second placed in the First Division take on second in the Premier Division in the second round of the FAI Cup.

The visitors Drogheda United did of course dump Rovers out of the cup at the first hurdle last season - that was a 1-0 win in United Park with former Rovers B player Chris Lyons getting the winner from the penalty spot after referee Paul McLaughlin sent off Lee Grace and gave Drogs a spot kick. McLaughlin is the referee this evening too.
