Michael Drennan keeps complaining and Rob Hennessy give him a second yellow card and Drennan is sent off for St. Patrick's Athletic.

87'

Yellow Card

Michael Drennan is booked for St. Patrick's Athletic for his reaction to Rob Hennessy calling it a foul on Gary Rogers who came to punch a cross.

86'

Pat's fans drifting to the exits and Saturday night pints that await them.

83'

Pat's have been very poor in this second half. Really haven't troubled Dundalk. They are pressing now late in the game though.

82'

1,463 here.

Substitution

73'

65'

Gary Rogers has a black cap on his head as he is staring into the dropping sunshine.

64'

59'

Corner Kick

St. Patrick's Athletic have won a corner kick. Jamie Lennon will take it.

58'

Brian Gartland does really well to stretch a boot out and take the ball away from Dean Clarke as he was about to shoot.

55'

Mikey Drennan hits the butt of the post but he'd already been whistled offside.

52'

GOAL!

John Mountney scores for Dundalk slotting home a Dean Jarvis cross from the left.

47'

Some early Dundalk pressure with a couple of corners to start the second half.

46'

Second Half

The second half between St. Patrick's Athletic and Dundalk has started.

45' + 3'

Half Time

It is half-time between St. Patrick's Athletic and Dundalk.

45'

We are into the two minutes injury time that Robert Hennessy has added.

41'

A Sean Murray corner drops into the six yard box but onto the thigh of Dave Webster who pushes it clear for the Saints.

35'

Yellow Card

Conor Clifford is booked for St. Patrick's Athletic for a cynical foul on Patrick McEleney as he was breaking from deep. The Derryman requires treatment but is back on his feet and he then he goes forward and his slaloming run earns Dundalk a corner.

34'

Ciaran Kelly alert to head out of danger another Dean Jarvis cross. The best of Dundalk's play is coming down the left, on the other wing Ian Bermingham and Kevin Toner are keeping Daniel Kelly quiet for now.

33'

Conor Clifford whips a cross into the box but Gary Rogers steps out before Mikey Drennan can get on the ball. Some nice possession football from Pats.

26'

26'

Patrick McCleney finds some space after a good run by John Mountney. He wraps his foot around the ball but Brendan Clarke saves.

24'

20 degrees here in a sunny Richmond Park. I'd have had Dundalk in their white kit rather in black today.

21'

Super Dean Jarvis cross causes Pat's difficulty and it finds Georgie Kelly at the backpost and his shot is well saved by Brendan Clarke. Was the first real chance for Dundalk.

18'

Great passing move from Harry Kenny's men moving the ball through six or seven players but Dean Clarke's cross is well dealt with by Gary Rogers in the Lilywhite goal.

15'

A deep Patrick McEleney cross has the home support worried but Dundalk don't have anyone at the back post to exploit. Chris Sheilds loses the possession as the ball comes out.

13'

With eight changes to the Dundalk line up it may take some time for them to get into the usual Dundalk play.

12'

Cameron Dummigan does well to get back and head out a Darragh Markey cross that had Mikey Drennan lurking behind on. Decent start by the home team.

6'

Pat's tweet earlier ahd Cian Coleman in the team but he is on the bench as Darragh Markey starts.

6'

4-2-3-1 for Dundalk with Georgie Kelly leading the line.

4'

Early chance for the Athletic as Mikey Drennan pushes through the middle but he can't direct the ball on target.

3'

It is a back three / five for Harry Kenny's team. Dean Clarke and Darragh Markey playing with Mikey Drennan up top. Conor Clifford and Jamie Lennon are holding in midfield.

1'

GAME ON!

The game between St. Patrick's Athletic and Dundalk has kicked off.

0'

Robert Hennessy is the man in charge of the action today. Ian Bermingham has the captain's armband for the home team with Brian Gartland having that honour for the visitors.

0'

A Daniel Kelly own goal was the difference between the sides when they last met in Inchicore with the Saints securing a 1-0 win. Last time they played in Oriel Park, Sean Hoare got a late goal to earn the  1-0 win for the Lilywhites in Oriel Park.

0'

Dundalk can move back to eight points clear of Shamrock Rovers again with a win this evening. They will both have played 25 matches by the end of this evening but the Hoops do play in Cork tomorrow afternoon. Pat's meanwhile can draw level with fourth placed Derry City with a win over last season's double winners.

Just the eight changes for champions Dundalk this evening. Georgie Kelly given a rare run out from the start as Patrick Hoban will take up a position on the bench for the kick off at 5.30pm.
