Football eh!!! Great finish again to the half for the Lilywhites and another visiting manager leaves frustrated having gotten so close to taking a point. Dundalk won't get away with such prolifigacy in front of goal every week but 6 points this week means that's a worry for another night.

Niall Newberry's excellent report will be online in a few minutes but from me, Tom O'Connor it's oíche mhaith from Oriel Park and thanks for joining us.

90' + 5'

FULL TIME!

The game has ended between Dundalk and St. Patrick's Athletic.

90' + 5'

Brendan Clarke arrives for a corner, tumbles attempting a bicycle kick and the ball is eventually thumped over the bar. Rogers in no rush with this goal kick,

90' + 3'

Yellow Card

Ian Bermingham is booked for St. Patrick's Athletic.

90'

HOARE!!

No idea what happened in the melee following the corner but the ball landed in the net and the former Pat's man flew off to the corner to celebrate!! A goal to sum up this game- not too pretty.

90'

GOAL!

Sean Hoare scores for Dundalk.

89'

Yellow Card

Brendan Clarke is booked for St. Patrick's Athletic.

88'

Substitution

Daniel Kelly replaces Patrick McEleney for Dundalk.

88'

Substitution

Daniel Kelly replaces Patrick McEleney for Dundalk.

86'

Georgie Kelly wins his header, Madden clears from the hands of Clarke. The corner finds its way to Jarvis and the flying Jamie Lennon bravely blocks. Pat's still can't clear.

84'

Yellow Card

David Webster is booked for St. Patrick's Athletic.

82'

Yellow Card

Michael Drennan is booked for St. Patrick's Athletic.

79'

Duffy tumbles on the edge of the area, Hoban picks up the ball and hammers an effort which is deflected over and Hoare then heads the corner wide.

76'

Attendance here tonight of 2377. Slightly down on Monday, to be expected of a second home game in a week.

73'

Jarvis- Hoban- header over the bar. There's a goal coming here for Dundalk as Georgie Kelly joins Hoban up top. Dundalk are that much in charge that Gannon is nominally a winger down the right.

71'

Substitution

Georgie Kelly replaces John Mountney for Dundalk.

70'

Another simple save for Clarke as Pat's fail to clear a Duffy corner and the winger sneaks in at the back post but his pull back found the gloves of the netminder.

64'

CHANCE!!

Duffy stretches full length but knocks the ball wide of the far post as Hoban takes a tumble in front of him under pressure from the Pat's defence.

62'

Duffy cuts inside following some neat interplay down the left but his shot deflects off Rhys McCabe and away from danger. Good move but still nothing to majorly trouble Clarke- bar Murray's free kick.

56'

Peach of a cross by Jarvis is hooked away expertly by Bermingham for Dundalk's 7th corner of the game. Tells the story of their dominance so far but it's still a laboured performance.

55'

Yellow Card

Gary Shaw is booked for St. Patrick's Athletic.

54'

All Dundalk here in the second half as they start to turn the screw. Locals not happy with the speed of the Pat's set pieces.

48'

Flores in late on McCabe- sore one but no booking.

46'

Substitution

Jordan Flores replaces Sean Murray for Dundalk.

46'

Second Half

The second half between Dundalk and St. Patrick's Athletic has started.

45' + 2'

The kindest thing you could say about that half is that it wasn't a classic. Pat's setup frustrated the home side while they have also had a few chances of their own- a lot more needed from the home side in the second half.

45' + 2'

Half Time

It is half-time between Dundalk and St. Patrick's Athletic.

45'

Two minutes to go here at the end of the half. No tragedy that we don't have longer.

43'

MCELENEY!! NO!

The number 11 picked up on a loose ball in midfield and surged forward but his curled left footed effort was clung to by the stretching Clarke. Unlucky!

41'

Ciaran Kelly clatters into Hoban on the halfway line and receives a lecture not a card as requested by the home fans. Scrappy end to the half.

39'

Better from Dundalk as Jarvis scampers down the left, finds Duffy and he found Murray on the edge of the box. Clarke's palms the destination, not the net however and the keeper saved with ease.

38'

Great play by Sean Gannon, he finds McEleney with an insightful pass and the playmaker's cross just eludes the bleached barnet of Sean Murray. Almost!

36'

Murray drags a shot wide after being setup by Hoban. Again, started by a Pat's move breaking down in midfield.

31'

Scrappy again from both sides who are comfortable with the ball in the defence but beyond that aren't producing much. Once more the Saints have two short passes in defence before Clarke goes long. Story of the half so far.

27'

MURRAY!!! SAVE!!

Freekick 25 yards out beats the wall but Clarke gets down low to push the ball around his post and then scramble the subsequent corner clear. Great stop from the experienced netminder,

26'

Pat's' extra width at the back is giving them an option when playing the ball out but they're finding it difficult to work it into midfield and have resorted to going long to Shaw on several occasions.

22'

Shaw on the ground again, this time coming off the worst in an aerial collision with Gartland. He;s up and we're off again. Flat sort of game so far as both sides are doing some shadow boxing almost.

18'

MIkey Drennan found a shed load of space in the Dundalk penalty area but can only head Rhys McCabe's free kick into the safe hands of Gary Rogers- defininte chance for Pat's.

14'

Great forward play by Hoban, drops deep and finds Gannon who threaded a ball to Mountney. The Mayoman turned on his left and dropped in a brilliant cross which just drifted beyond the far post. Nice interplay but no end product so far.

11'

First piece  of meaningful goalmouth action here as Shields strips Shaw of the ball and fashions an opening which Madden bravely blocked and Pat's escape.

CHANCE!

Drennan heads narrowly over following a Madden cross.

6'

Stoppage in play here as Gary Shaw is down in midfield and he doesn't look comfortable as he limps off with the physio. Ger O'Brien over for a chat. He's going to soldier on for a while.

3'

Dundalk with Rogers in goal, Gannon and Jarvis on the full back slots, Gartland and Hoare in the centre of defence. Central midfield is Shields, Murray and McEleney a little advanced with Moutney and Duffy  on the wings. Hoban up top.

For Pat's it's a centre back trio of Toner, Kelly and Webster, with Madden and Bermingham wing backs. Lennon, McCabe and Markey are in the Pat's midfield with Drennan and Shaw partnering up top.
