UEFA have confirmed the men’s and women’s Champions League finals and the Europa League final scheduled for May 2020 have been postponed.

The competitions have been suspended since March 13th as a result of the covid-19 pandemic which has spread across the entire continent.

Rescheduled dates for the games have yet to be decided as there remain several rounds in all three competitions still to play.

“As a result of the COVID-19 crisis in Europe, UEFA has today formally taken the decision to postpone the […] matches, originally scheduled for May 2020,” read a UEFA statement.

“No decision has yet been made on rearranged dates.

“The working group, established last week as a result of the conference call among the stakeholders of European football, which was chaired by UEFA President, Aleksander Ceferin, will analyse the options available.

“The group has already begun its examination of the calendar. Announcements will be made in due course.”
