Bohemians sign former St Joseph's Boys winger Callum Thompson on loan from Wolves

Premier Division Bohemians have unveiled the loan signing of 18-year-old winger Callum Thompson from Wolves.

Thompson joins the Gypsies on loan from the Premier League outfit on a six-month loan deal that will see the young winger stay at Dalymount Park until July.

The winger has been with Wolves since summer 2017 having come through at Dublin schoolboy kingpins St Joseph’s Boys in Sallynoggin.

The highly-rated winger has played for the Republic of Ireland under-17s previously, with Bohs boss Keith Long left excited by his potential.

“He’s new to the league and to senior football but is a very talented young player and an exciting prospect,” he said.

“We once again will have a lot of fixtures in the first few months of the season, so it is important that we need a strong squad with strength in depth across all positions.

“It’s going to be a squad game and we’ll need players of quality ready to come in and play. We’re looking forward to working with Callum.”
