First Division Cabo re-sign three for 2020

Cabinteely have announced the re-signing of Vilius Labutis, Ben Clarke and Zak O’Neill ahead of their League of Ireland First Division campaign.

18-year-old Labutis is a product of Cabinteely’s youth teams and played with their Under 17 team in 2017 and progressed to their Under 19 side in 2018.

He made his breakthrough with the senior squad last season and made 16 appearances and scored 1 goal in all competitions for the South Dublin club.

Also re-joining is goalkeeper Ben Clarke. The young goalkeeper made his Cabinteely first-team league debut in the final league game of the 2019 season against Wexford.

However, that was his second first-team appearance for the Green and White’s, after he made his senior bow in the EA Sports Cup win over Drogheda United in March.

Meanwhile, it has also been confirmed that highly-rated midfielder Zak O’Neill will remain with Pat Devlin’s charges next term.

Zak came through the underage ranks at Cabinteely where he played for their U17 side in 2016 and 2017.

In 2018 he was part of Cabinteely's U19 side but was also involved with Pat Devlin's senior side and made his league debut on the opening weekend against Wexford at Stradbrook.

Pat Devlin’s men begin their First Division campaign with a South Dublin derby against rivals Bray wanderers on Friday 21 February (kick-off 7.45pm).
