Irish international Shaun Williams signs new Millwall contract

Republic of Ireland international Shaun Williams has signed a contract extension with English Championship side Millwall.

The Dubliner originally signed for The Lions in January 2014 and he has now extended his contract by a further 12 months.

He began his career in the League of Ireland with Drogheda United in 2005 with loan spells to Dundalk and Finn Harps in 2007 and 2008.

Williams linked up with Liam Buckley at Sporting Fingal in 2009 and won the FAI Cup that year as well as promotion to the Premier Division in 2010.

The 33 year old was left without a club when Fingal folded in 2011 but he secured a move to MK Dons in March of that year before moving to The Den in 2014.
