Irish underage international Jonathan Afolabi joins Dunfermline on loan from Celtic

Republic of Ireland Under 19 international Jonathan Afolabi has gone on loan to Scottish Championship club Dunfermline Athletic.

The 20 year old links up with The Pars in the Scottish second tier from Glasgow Celtic until the end of the season.

Afolabi played for St Joseph’s Boys and Shamrock Rovers in Dublin before entering Southampton’s academy in July 2016 as a 16 year old.

He signed a three year deal with Celtic last summer at the end of his Southampton contract.

The forward’s first involvement with his new club could come this Saturday when Dunfermline take on Queen of the South (kick-off 3pm).
