Ireland under-21 Conor Coventry joins Lincoln City on loan from West Ham

League One outfit Lincoln City have confirmed the acquisition of Republic of Ireland under-21 midfielder Conor Coventry on loan from West Ham United until the end of the season.

Coventry recently signed a new deal with the Hammers last week, and he has since moved out on loan to join Lincoln.

Lincoln, who have already gathered the services of Zack Elbouzedi from Premier Division Waterford – currently lie 16th in League One.

The midfielder made his full Hammers debut in their 8-0 Carabao Cup win over Macclesfield Town in 2018.

He has also captained West Ham at under-23 level as well as being named as a Premier League substitute on a number of occasions.

Following his breakthrough and regular appearances in the first team squad at the London Stadium, Conor was called up to Stephen Kenny’s Republic of Ireland under-21 squad

And after signing a new three-year-old deal with David Moyes’ side, Coventry will now get his first taste of Football League action with the Imps.
