Colm Deasy and Ryan Swan join Warrenpoint Town

Danske Bank Premiership side Warrenpoint have unveiled the double signing of defender Colm Deasy and forward Ryan Swan.

The Point’s latest delve into the transfer market comes just days following the arrival of former Longford and Athlone Town midfielder Kealan Dillon to the club.

Warrenpoint currently lie bottom of the Northern Irish top-flight, with just 13 points to their name after 24 league games.

Deasy joins the Northern Irish top-flight strugglers from Finn Harps, following earlier stints at Drogheda United and St Pats. 

Deasy was also with Southampton for a period as a youth and has played at International level for the Republic of Ireland under-19, 18 and 16 teams.

Former UCD forward Swan joins The Town from Bohemians, the 22-year-old from scored 4 goals last season for Bohs as they secured Europa League qualification.

“I am really excited to get two top class professionals here,” Warrenpoint boss Barry Gray said.

“They will add a new dimension to our current squad as they have experience at top level. 

“That will lift all the other players and particularly the younger members of the panel.

“After getting Stuart Hutchinson and Kealan Dillon over the line last week I am happier with the experience around the panel.”
