Shelbourne reveal pre-season schedule ahead of top-flight return

2019 First Division league winners Shelbourne have confirmed their pre-season schedule ahead of their return to the Premier Division.

The Reds sealed their return to the top-flight in September with a pulsating win over Drogheda United at United Park.

Since promotion, manager Ian Morris has been busy getting to work in building a squad capable of competing in the top-flight.

Gary Deegan, Aaron Dobbs, Karl Sheppard, Jack Brady and Daniel O’Reilly have all arrived through the doors at Tolka Park in recent months.

The Reds will begin their pre-season schedule with a clash against First Division Wexford on January 11. The game will take place at the AUL with a 12pm kick-off.

They will then play Athlone Town on January 17 at 7.45pm, with a venue TBC.

After facing the Blue and Black of the Midlands, they will make the trip to Galway to face Alan Murphy’s highly-fancied side on January 25.

On January 31st, they will then face Dublin rivals and old First Division adversaries Cabinteely at 7.30pm. Venue will be confirmed at a later date.

And to round off their top-flight preparations, the Reds will then face Bray Wanderers at Tolka Park on Friday February 7th at 7.45pm.
