Mark Timlin extends Finn Harps stay

Ollie Horgan’s Finn Harps have confirmed the re-signing of midfielder Mark Timlin ahead of the 2020 campaign.

Harps stayed up by the skin of their teeth at the conclusion of the 2019 season – with a win over Drogheda United.

The former St Patrick’s Athletic star joined Harps initially in 2017 on loan from Derry City, before then making the permanent move to Ballybofey ahead of the 2018 season.

The Buncrana native featured fifteen times for Harps last season, making ten starts and five appearances off the bench.

“Last season was a tough year for me personally having to sit the majority of the season out injured, but overall I was delighted to be able to contribute towards the end and help the club stay in the Premier Division,” Timlin told his club’s media team.

“Fingers crossed I can stay injury free this year and help the club push on.”

Manager Horgan added; “Mark had an awful time with injuries last season but in fairness to him he worked at it and did all he could to get back on the pitch and help the lads.

“He’s probably one of our more creative players so with a bit of luck he can keep fit and give us a big boost going forward.”
