Bohemians unveil signings of Breslin, Lunney, Twardek and McGuinness as preparations ramp up for 2020

Premier Division Bohemians have unveiled the triple signings of Anto Breslin, JJ Lunney, Kris Twardek and Stephen McGuinness ahead of their 2020 campaign.

Breslin makes the move from First Division Longford Town, while McGuinness also makes the move to Dalymount from the First Division with Cabinteely.

JJ Lunney also signs on the dotted line for the Gypsies, returning to the club after a year at Waterford.

Former Wolverhampton Wanderers youth Breslin joins Keith Long’s side after impressing with Longford in the 2019 campaign.

The dynamic full-back was named in the PFAI First Division team of the year in what was his first year of senior football.

The 22-year-old former St Kevin’s Boys schoolboy is joined by former Cabinteely captain and goalkeeper Stephen McGuinness.

McGuinness makes the move from the South Dubliners to Dalymount Park after a stellar year between the sticks for Pat Devlin’s side.

His contributions were telling throughout, making three penalty saves in the playoff victory over Longford.

He also saved two penalties against Shelbourne in the space of three games, also saving one against Bray Wanderers at the Carlisle Grounds.

JJ Lunney also returns to the club after a year with Waterford. Lunney left Dalymount at the end of the 2018 campaign to link up with Alan Reynolds at the RSC.



While at the RSC, the 21-year-old made 33 appearances for Alan Reynolds’ side – as they earned a 6th placed league finish. Kris Twardek also joins from Sligo Rovers.

In addition, Republic of Ireland underage internationals Andy Lyons and Dawson Devoy, forwards Andre Wright and Christian Magerusan, midfielders Keith Ward, Luke Wade-Slater and Promise Omochere have all re-signed for the club.

The Gypsies have also unveiled a new jersey, with Des Kelly as the club’s new main jersey sponsor.
