Jordan Adeyemo and James Clarke re-sign for promotion hunting Drogs

First Division Drogheda United have unveiled the re-signing of Jordan Adeyemo and James Clarke ahead of the 2020 campaign.

Adeyemo and Clarke both impressed from the under-19s this term, before also making their mark on Tim Clancy’s first-team squad.

Adeyemo is a member of Drogheda under-19s, playing in both the 2018 and 2019 campaigns for the club’s underage sides.

Making five appearances for the Drogheda first-team squad, he also scored 18 goals for the club’s U19 side as they progressed to the National League semi-finals.

The forward also made 12 appearances for the senior side with his first senior goal coming in a 3-0 win at home to Galway United. He also scored in a Leinster Senior Cup tie against Sheriff YC in August.

Also committing for 2019 at United is midfielder James Clarke. Clarke also played for both the under-19 and senior side in 2019.

He also made 17 appearances for the Boynesiders this term, scoring once. His solitary strike and first senior League of Ireland goal came in a 4-2 win against Athlone at United Park in June
