Showgrounds to host two under-19 friendlies against Denmark later this month
Sligo Rovers have confirmed that they will host two under-19 internationals later this month as the Republic of Ireland face Denmark on two occasions.
Tom Mohan’s under-19s, who qualified for the European Championships earlier this year – will play Denmark twice as they continue preparations for a new qualification series.
The under-19s were eventually knocked out of the European Championships by Portugal in the last four of the tournament in Yerevan, Armenia.
Sligo Rovers midfielder Niall Morahan also played a part in the Championships, as Mohan’s side impressed throughout the tournament.
The games against the Danes will take place on Friday 11 October at 7:45pm and the following Monday 14 October at 1pm.
Entry is to the Showgrounds costs €5 with both under-18s and OAPs free.
